The U.S. Green Building Council is committed to a prosperous and sustainable future for our nation through cost-efficient and energy-saving green buildings. This is demonstrated by their LEED® green building certification program, a nationwide network of chapters and affiliates and advocacy in support of public policy that encourages and enables green buildings and communities.

Green Seal
Green Seal® provides science-based environmental certification standards and actively advises and assists institutions and industry sectors in their efforts to green their purchasing, operations, and facilities management functions.

School Nutrition Association

The School Nutrition Association has been working to advance the availability, quality and acceptance of school nutrition programs as an integral part of education since 1946. They accomplish this by collaborating with organizations and government agencies to advance child nutrition programs through member outreach, education, standard setting and credentialing, gathering and providing regulatory, legislative, industry, nutrition and other types of information related to school nutrition.

School Nutrition Foundation

The School Nutrition Foundation provides financial aid programs, professional development programs, educational materials and timely research in school foodservice. These resources equip School Nutrition Association members with the tools to comply with USDA regulations, run efficient school foodservice operations and serve nutritious meals to children.

Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education
The Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education is an association of colleges and universities that are working to create a sustainable future. They provide resources, professional development, and a network of support to enable institutions of higher education to model and advance sustainability in everything they do, from governance and operations to education and research.

Healthy Schools Campaign

The Healthy Schools Campaign advocates for policies and practices that allow all students, teachers and staff to learn and work in a healthy school environment. This includes raising awareness of the air that children breathe, the food they eat and the opportunities they have to be physically active.

Industrial Council of Nearwest Chicago

The Industrial Council of Nearwest Chicago was established in 1967 to protect the interests of businesses in the Kinzie Corridor of Chicago and to encourage long term business investment in the area. In addition to one of the first business incubators in the country, ICNC offers advocacy and education, job placement, training subsidies and small business assistance.

Chicago Sustainable Business Alliance

The Chicago Sustainable Business Alliance supports members in integrating sustainable business principles into their organizations. This is achieved through networking and education while also fostering a community of information, referrals and peer-based learning. The CSBA is a program of the Foresight Design Initiative.

University of Illinois Chicago Family Business Council
The University of Illinois Chicago Family Business Council was created to serve the unique needs of family businesses by providing discussion forums and resources through the College of Business Administration. Today, there are more than 70 companies of all backgrounds and interests that share their experiences and proven best practices.
